'Sunrise', Alex Beach, Alexandra Headland Queensland, Australia
This panorama was taken in late May this year on one of the stillest mornings I can remember at Alex. The ocean was like a pond and the sky was so clear. I do hope you enjoy it.

Bevan & Leah Langley, The Duporth Riverside, Maroochydore
Bevan and Leah Langley have huge smiles on their faces since last Friday, when I delivered their 2.5 metre wide, 1 metre high image of their beautiful Maroochy river view, overlooking the pool, at The Duporth Riverside.
Leah & Bevan commissioned me to come up with the perfect image for their reception wall. So after sifting through many of the photos that I created, they decided on this panorama on wrapped canvas, divided into 3 equal segments (triptych).
'We are just thrilled, and show it off to everyone that walks by', Leah says.
Remember, if you need that special photograph that will make your home, office or resort more unique, give me a call and we can discuss your requirements.

UNDERSTANDING PRINTER JARGON
To get the best results when printing digital photos, you should know what the standard printing terms mean. In this Insider, we'll examine some of them, with the aim of clarifying printing issues that create uncertainty.
ppi vs dpi
The relationship between dots/inch (dpi) and pixels/inch (ppi) probably creates the most confusion in photographers' minds, especially since some software programs and scanner interfaces seem to use the terms interchangeably. The easiest way to clarify the issue is to say that dpi relates only to the printed output, while ppi delineates the number of pixels per inch in the image itself. In other words, dpi should be used for print resolution, while ppi is for image resolution when describing camera-captured and scanned images and images displayed on monitor screens ...
Whilst you are at the Photo Review site, be sure to check out the 'Photo Gallery'. I have a couple of images on display and have a section listed under my name.

| My Favourite Photo of YOURS for the Month |

'Birds', Anja Thomsen, Sydney, NSW
'My Favourite Photo of Yours' this month is by Anja Thomsen of Sydney, NSW.
Anja took this shot near Paynesville which is near 90 Mile Beach. Staying in a cottage in an isolated spot, these birds seemed to be the only other inhabitants. I love this shot due to its simplicity. The almost monochromatic colours are punctuated by the contrast of the birds chest colouring. The posts in the fore and background also give it a sense of depth. Thanks so much Anja for allowing me to use your photograph.
If you would like your photograph included next month, please send it to me in the smallest size you possibly can. I look forward to your photographs.

Wow! It's been a year already since I decided to start a website and put some of my photographs on there to see if I could share this beautiful area that we live in with you all. What a wonderful year it has been.
I have met so many lovely people who have appreciated my work and been kind enough to give me their feedback, always supportive. Clients nationally and internationally, who have decided that they must have their own photographic 'time-capsule' (as one client put it), of a moment in time which will never be repeated. New colleagues who share this passion of photography with me and are full of enthusiasm and excitement at each new photograph that we create. Great suppliers, who without, I would not be able to physically give you my images to hang on your wall or to market my work.
I have travelled from Tasmania to Canberra, Byron Bay to the Whitsundays and Sydney to Fraser Island and have always taken as many shots as my time in those places would allow. I have also found a cause to defend in saving the Fraser Island wildlife which I am sure will spread to other causes as time and more photographs occur.
The sights I have seen are incredible and the images I have collected are immense, and one day I will share them all with you via my website, ebooks and printed publications, (including my greeting cards which will be advertised next month).
To everyone who has helped me live my bliss and awakened me midlife, thankyou.
