'Sorrento Beach, Mornington Peninsula, VIC, Australia

Depicted above are a couple of images taken on my recent trip to the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.

I just made it in time to capture the sun setting to the west and the moon rising in the east in the top shot.
I was soooo excited! You can only just make out the moon to the right in this photograph. The original is actually about 2 metres wide!

The bottom photograph of Sorrento Beach was very unexpected. The sky was quite overcast all morning and suddenly within an hour it had changed completely and a glorious blue sky appeared.

My photographic trip around the Mornington Peninsula was a sensational experience and one that I would not have been able to have, except for the assistance of my friend Stuart Grant of Stu-Art Photography.

Stuart has spent most of his life peering through the viewfinder of a camera and there has never been a dull moment. Armed with talent and conviction, Stuarts led the sort of life many others dream about. Hes set foot on every continent and sailed across oceans, along the way creating a stunning portfolio of photographs. He's worked for Australian Geographic just to name ONE magazine, and his has been to places like The Galapagos Islands and Antarctica just to name TWO!

His work is obviously his passion, and he has bucketloads of stunning shots. But don't just take my word for it, see for yourself!

They seemingly came from nowhere and melted into the crowd on the beach until the music started and over 200 Sunshine Coast locals kicked up their heels....or should we say kicked up the sand at Mooloolaba Beach on Australia Day.

Tourists, locals and beach goers all stopped in their tracks as a Flash Mob of over 200 local Sunshine Coast & Brisbane residents rose from their towels and performed a dance in unison!!!

Local residents were secretly invited by me to join The Great Mooloolaba Beach Dance Facebook Group and the rest you can say was 'creating history'.

In this article we'll be looking at the most basic of editing processes: resizing.
Images need to be resized when you wish to send them in emails or post them on websites. A typical digital camera has between 10 and 15 megapixels of resolution, which produces image files between 2MB and 4MB in size.
Transmitting such large files would use a lot of bandwidth; not to mention time. Large files are also much larger than most monitor displays. Smaller files can be sent much more quickly and cheaply  and can look just as good on the viewers screen.
