| Jessica Watson's Homecoming Mooloolaba ~ Sunday 6 June |
 |
|
After greeting thousands of fans in
Brisbane
and Melbourne, as part of the Ella Bache
Welcome Home Tour, Jessica is now sailing
back to her home and mine, Mooloolaba on the
Sunshine Coast.
It is my greatest
pleasure to have been asked by the organisers
to provide my photography for the Mooloolaba
Yacht Club and the official function on
Sunday 6 June.
My work will be adorning the wall spaces and
will showcase the beautiful Sunshine Coast
for the world to see.
When I was there
earlier this week planning my exhibition the
amount of organisers planning Jessica's
homecoming was huge!!
Jessica and her crew are scheduled to sail
past Caloundra at 10.00am on Sunday morning,
then Point Cartwright and on to Alexandra
Headland by 12.30pm, before sailing into
Mooloolaba Harbour, doing a tour around the
canals then berthing at the Mooloolaba Yacht
Club.
See you at the Yacht Club on
Sunday! :)

Janelle

Lesson' at Buderim Falls
Photography Lessons
Sunshine Coast
Let me take you on a journey to teach you how
to take that perfect photograph for your wall.
Two Locations available.
And when you
are finished your lesson if you need help
with Photoshop and organising your photos I
can also help!
Here's what Janelle
said about her lesson:
"I would like to Thank you for such a
wonderful day. The experience I gained from
walking and working with you was amazing. You
have a relaxed teaching manner that enables
people to feel comfortable.
You opened my eyes to see rather than just
observe.
From the very first hello you were welcoming
and engaging. You made me feel comfortable
and excited about the day. Until today I
feared landscape photography. Now I'm
going out to do more.
Tracy, thank you for giving me the confidence
to give it a go.
I would encourage anyone interested in
learning or improving take a lesson with
Tracy. She's an amazing lady and an amazing
photographer." ~ Janelle

| *Seeking Sponsorship* ~ 'Herstory ~ Kwinana Capturing the Beauty of Indigenous Women' |
 |
|
Seeking Sponsorship for my Photographic
Project entitled "Herstory ~ Kwinana
Capturing the Beauty of Indigenous Women."
So, I went to Broome, Western Australia in
October last year and photographed around the
area and fell in love. I wanted to go back
which I did in March and spent a day on a
shoot around Bunbury.
On the way over in March, I watched the movie
'Bran Nue Dae' and it inspired me to create a
project where I take photographs of beautiful
indigenous women in narrative photography. I
have an indigenous friend with family all
over WA and asked her whether she would like
the idea and help. Well she did.
Then
I thought about creating books, an exhibition
and going right into the story of 'Women's
Business' from my viewpoint with the Women
and also capture the landscape.
And... 'Herstory
~ Kwinana' was born. The idea in it's
entirety is to have photographic project
where I capture the women in their natural
environment creating a photographic book,
story of their lives, a photographic
exhibition and ideally to have a
cinematographer film the whole experience and
then we have a documentary and a series of
DVD's etc etc.
We have support from Indigenous women for the
project and you can view the whole concept,
plan and support letters on the website at http://www.herstoryofaustralia.com
I am seeking sponsorship support of in kind
sponsorship or monetary assistance for 3 to 4
weeks from Friday 16 July 2010 of:
1. Transportation: 4wd vehicle/s
2. Communication Devices: Satellite Phone,
GPS's etc
3. Camping Equipment or Accommodation
Assistance
4. Flights to Darwin or Broome
This 3 to 4 week expedition will visit areas
in the Kimberley and I will fit in as much
photography as I can in that time and I will
also be 'Youtubing' my progress. Ideally,
the film crew accompanying me on this
expedition would be advantageous, however it
is not essential.
In return for your sponsorship, I will
emblazon your logo and information you
suggest throughout the photography,
exhibiton, Youtubes, website and photo book.
Any DVD's and documentaries created will also
have your logo on board as Sponsor.
With my international status as a renowned
photographer I also have many linkages to
national and international media outlets and
will be creating quite abit of publicity due
to the originality and importance of this
project. I also have a huge social networking
following and website presence of my own
where last year (2009) my website reached 5
million hits.
As you will appreciate the 16th of July is
not too far away, so it would be sensational
if you can help or know anyone that can I
would love to have them contact me asap.
Other sponsorship has been requested through
QANTAS & Virgin Blue for flight assistance,
and Nikon Australia for photographic
equipment.
I HAVE to do this project!!

| Photo Review's Tips & Tricks ~ Sharpening Rules |
 |
|
For optimal results, when applying
any form of sharpening to your digital
images, follow these rules: 1. Make
sharpening the LAST step in your editing. If
you wish to apply brightness, contrast or
colour corrections or correct distortion - or
make any other changes, these should be done
BEFORE you reach for the sharpening tools. ...

Welcome to the June eNewsletter, where there
is soooo much to show and tell!
For the past 3 weeks I have had the pleasure
of having a small exhibition take pride of
place at Westpac, Chancellor Park, complete
with my 'Sunshine
Coast Images' DVD playing on the big
screens. More about that in the
eNewsletter.
I went to Fraser Island
on the May long weekend and Noosa North Shore
just last weekend, where this month's
featured photos are from.
Also... I received a
call last week from the Mooloolaba Yacht Club
who asked me if I would display my
photography or 'deck the walls' of the club
this weekend for the homecoming to Mooloolaba
of Jessica
Watson, the youngest person to sail
around the world, non-stop and
unassisted. Of course!!! Read
all about Jessica's return in the

Next month, I am off to 'The Kimberley' in
